The Enemy Is Defeated

By: Pastor Stephen Birungi

Fear is the enemy, doubt is the enemy, anxiety is the enemy, and doubt is also the enemy. When things go wrong and we feel that we are not able to control the outcomes, the enemy creeps in.

One of the fruits of the Spirit is self-control and another is patience or long-suffering. People all over the world don’t have faith in our loving God because they cannot see Him, and yet they fear things that take away their peace: sickness, & various problems that we also can’t see.

When people cry it is because they are feeling self-pity rather than empathy. Self-pity is something we are called not to have, but rather have patience and long-suffering because it is a form of idolatry where we place ourselves first.

We must have compassion and empathy for all others, at this very season. 2000 years ago, Jesus died on the cross for us not out of pity, but out of love. He was patient [He suffered for our sins] and He had empathy [for He loved us so much He died on the cross for us] and by so doing He defeated the enemy.

How? He rose again! He demonstrated that there is life after death. People only fear death because they think it is the end, but as children of a living God, death is life, everlasting life, the sort that has no suffering, no fear, no worry, no anxiety, and no doubt.

It is time to tell you, people, not to doubt the Lord if Christ is in them, then He is in control; they will come through this. If Christ is not in them then they need to repent of their sins, consecrate their lives to God, accept Jesus into their hearts as their Lord and Savior, and they need to stop placing themselves first, as all idolaters do!

I pray that this time, all we have left is God, He will stir the hearts of people and see them seek God’s relationship like never before. Just as I am leading my own saints here, they are all spending much more time with the Lord, and are learning to be at peace with themselves. Not worrying about the material things of this world.

It is guaranteed that this world will continue for God created it. It is guaranteed that provision will continue for God created it. It is guaranteed that protection will continue because God provides it.

Be strong and yield your lives to the living God whom we cannot see but ask for His his will, His protection, and His provision. You will ALL come through this. We join together as one to extend our love to you and your family at this special time of year.

We remember that God sent 9 plagues upon the Egyptian people and until finally when He sent the 10th plague, He asked His people in bondage to paint the blood of an innocent lamb upon the lintel and posts of their front doors. When the angel of death visited the land he “passed over” these homes and the blood protected their firstborn from certain death.

It was an exchange, an innocent lamb paid the price. We also remember on the same date many years later how God’s grace and mercy were extended once again. This time He sent His only begotten son Jesus, His body hung on a post with a crossbar, a lintel, and His blood was shed upon the cross in yet another exchange.

The innocent Lamb of God, perfect in every way, paid the price for your sin so that death would “Passover” and have no hold over you. For Jesus rose again to show ALL of us who believe that there is life after death.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. John 5:24

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. Hebrews 12:1-3

As we remember what God did for us on Easter. Let us accept during this difficult time, that by the blood of Jesus, each of us will be protected and provided for. Pray over your family and your homes, go to your front door and declare by the blood of the innocent Lamb, that no sickness and no disease shall enter into your homes in Jesus’ Name.

The price has already been paid, Jesus said, “It is done!” Brothers and sisters stand firm in your faith. Let no fear, doubt, worry, or anxiety enter your mind as the Holy Spirit, who dwells within you, will protect you, and your loved ones.

May God bless you this day and always. Yours in Faith Pastor Stephen and Family.
