Let us continue to pray for one another, never giving up on the work of the Spirit of the Lord. Love, care, forgive, and bear with each other in every way. Be faithful to the brethren, for the Lord is faithful.
Pray for one another for protection from the evil of this world and the wicked spirits the Devil sends to divide and tear down the work of the saints. They are the ones behind many of the problems we encounter. They seek to lie, kill, and destroy us, our good work, and the fellowship of believers.
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. Romans 16:17
These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain an advantage. Jude 1:16
We do not just live in a physical world. But we are engaged in an actual battle against wickedness, against the evil powers in the heavenly places. Satan continually sends his wicked ones against you to cause you to sin and stop your work for the Lord. They are your true enemies, not flesh and blood.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
But unfortunately, many, even in churches, have given themselves over to all kinds of sins and the deeds of darkness instead of walking in the Spirit of the Lord. They claim God as their Lord but lie and live the Devil’s ways. The Devil desires to divide and conquer. But you are more than a conqueror in the name of Jesus. You can overcome all things if you give yourself to the Lord.
Follow and obey Jesus and stand firm against the schemes of the Devil. It is the ways of the Lord that matter. It is walking in the true Spirit and power of the Lord that needs to take center stage. The teachings come from the Spirit of the Lord and not stage performers. What is in your heart displays what is true about who you truly serve.
As Paul said, “May God be true and everyone a liar!” Romans 3:4
Increase your wisdom and discernment. You will know who is of the Lord and who is not. God has given us the means to know this and understand it. Those who are of the Lord will have the fruits of the Spirit, and those of the Devil will have rotten fruit. God is faithful and will instruct His servants on the right way to go. He will lead and give you discretion and direction.
May you stand firm with your armor on tight and your heart pure before the Lord. Do not listen to the enemy’s lies so that the word of the Lord and the Gospel of Jesus Christ may go forward unhindered, with power and healing. Always remember the Gospel has the power to transform lives and save souls from eternal and total destruction. You need to be faithful to speak it; then God will be faithful and produce a return. Praise God, in Jesus’ name.
Finally, brothers, pray for us that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
