Press On

If you are following the Lord Jesus Christ by faith you will have trouble, hardship, struggle, and pain. But I know that the Lord will help you every step along the way to press on.

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Sometimes you may wonder or even cry to the Lord asking Him why it is so hard. But He is not doing this to hurt you but to empower and strengthen you in ways you could not even fathom.

I know because of this you will continue to forge the way forward, looking to Jesus the author and perfecter of your faith. He is the one that makes it possible. He is the one who gives us the gusto to press on.

Remember God has complete control and everything that has happened in the past was planned by God Himself. To make you who you are now and prepare you for what is ahead. He is the one who allows it all and gives you new hope, gifts, and abilities to accomplish His will.

But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me. 2 Timothy 1:12

Do not give up, do not give in to the woes, fears, and wickedness of this age. The Lord will carry you through. It is not by your strength that you will do anything. but it is by His hand and power that your weakness becomes strength. His will and plans never fail.

Put your faith and trust firmly upon Him. He is trustworthy and true to the word of promises He has given. You will not fail. But you will conquer and be victorious in all the Lord has given you. In Jesus’ name.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7

Though you may fall and stumble from time to time, the Lord your God will be right there to pick you up and strengthen you. Even your stumble and sin, He will use to teach you and a new lesson. He will use everything to bring you into conformity to Himself.

Do not be afraid or ashamed for the Lord will use each and every problem in your life for your good and for your growth to maturity in the Lord. It is all according to His will and plan.

Look up to Him. Repent quickly and do not despair at your situation. This to shall pass and then it will be on to glory. So do not be weary but be strong and of good courage.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

He can not fail. He will not fail you. His plans, ways, purposes, and direction for your life are perfect and He will accomplish everything He has intended to do.

Do not listen to anyone else’s opinions or doubt, they do not know the will of the Lord for you. But press on with full assurance and faith in the Lord. Keep pressing toward the goal, toward the prize, and the upward calling you have been given by the Lord Himself.

God has a purpose, process, and plan for your life. So press on and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. You will make it.

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. Philippians 3:13-16
