Look to the Lord

The upright and the righteous who trust in the Lord will prosper and be honored by the Lord. But the wicked and perverse who despise those who do good and wrongly slander their names will not stand. They will not last, for their lies will find them out. The falsehoods that they stood upon will crumble and they will be ashamed before everyone.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Psalms 1:5-6

Do not look upon the wicked and be envious of how they have prospered, or say why not the righteous Lord why not the righteous. God will take care of them. What the wicked have piled up in the last days will be swept away in a moment.

Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist. When your eyes light on it, it is gone, for suddenly it sprouts wings, flying like an eagle toward heaven. Proverbs 23:4-5

The Lord will not let their wickedness go unpunished. They may have the best things in this world, they may be bathed in wealth and comfort now but later there will be nothing but pain and suffering. The Lord’s wrath will come down on their heads

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage that oppressors receive from the Almighty: If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword, and his descendants have not enough bread. Those who survive him the pestilence buries, and his widows do not weep. Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay, he may pile it up, but the righteous will wear it, and the innocent will divide the silver. Job 27:13-17

The righteous do not look to the good things of this world, but what is higher, what is better. They look to the blessings and gifts from the Lord. Those things that no man can purchase with money, the heavenly riches that make silver seem like rocks and gold like sand.

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the Lord. In the fire of His jealousy, all the earth shall be consumed; for a full and sudden end He will make of all the inhabitants of the earth. Zephaniah 1:18

Only fear the Lord and seek to do His will. Follow Him in all your ways and look not to the things of this world for they will all pass away. Look to the things that will last for eternity, to the One who will provide them, and will keep your place secure among the Heavenly dwellings.

The fear of the Lord prolongs life, but the years of the wicked will be short. The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish. The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless, but destruction to evildoers.

The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land. The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse. Proverbs 10:27-32
