Mind Your Surroundings

The followers of Jesus Christ are not only servants but mighty warriors for the Lord.

You are not just a lowly slave dressed in rages commanded to dig ditches and mop floors. You are a strong soldier enlisted in the ranks of the armies of Heaven. Called to do an important job for the Lord.

You are more than just a servant but a friend of Jesus Christ Himself called to wield the weapons of His Spirit to take down demons and devils.

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you. John 15:15-16

You are His trusted and mighty men and women of righteousness. In God’s eyes, you are noble, valued, and trustworthy to be placed in high positions of authority and power to conquer the wicked forces in heavenly places.

And Jesus said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” Luke 10:18

It is time to put down that tv remote and put on the armor of God to fight in the spiritual realms. Pray with power, believe with confidence, and then act with the authority that only comes through the Lord Jesus Christ. Tear down the strongholds and rescue the lives and souls who have been bound by the deceitfulness of the devil.

Hold fast to your faith, put on His boldness, and march forward to victory, in Jesus’ name. Using the spiritual weapons of warfare He has given to you.

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Then stand strong against the wicked schemes of this dark world and the devil. Remembering who the enemy is and who is not. It is not the people but the devil. Your enemy is Satan and his demons he has placed throughout the whole world.

The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy. John 10:10

There is much more going on around you in the spirit and behind a person at any given moment than you could comprehend. So much more demonic attack, oppression, control, possession, and direct onslaught against anything good than you could imagine.

This is why you need to be on constant alert as if you are in the middle of a fierce battle. Because you are in the middle of a spiritual battle for the souls of mankind. The souls of all those around you.

So stand firm in the Lord Jesus Christ and fight in His Spirit with power and confidence. The outcome of the war may already be determined but there are many battles to be fought and won.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace,  above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word* of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints. Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News, Ephesians 6:10-19
