Do Not Be Frightened

Do not be frightened in this time of difficulty. When the world is fearful and trembles at every disease, rumor of war, the threat of a tyrant, or the trembling of the earth. These are the signs of the last days.

Open your eyes that you may see and understand. The Lord is with you, it is in Him that you can trust.

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 Timothy 3:1

And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Matthew 24:4-8

You can see how people of this time tremble and fear at the smallest thing. So afraid are they, that they go to extreme measures to protect themselves against disaster and infection from others or unknown fears.

Not that it isn’t a good idea or wise to take measures for protection. But the people of this time go so far it seems that they have no faith at all.

But you, have faith, do not fear, for the Lord your God is in complete control. He has had a great purpose for every shaking, trial, test, difficulty, and every event since the beginning of time.

Do you really think He is surprised at the schemes and plans of the wicked? Do you think anything comes as a shock to Him? He is an infinite God and knows all things from the beginning to the end. I assure you He is in no way caught off guard by anything.

But as He has said in Isaiah 30:17 the people of the world will be frightened of even the imagination of things unseen in this day and age. But you shall not fear, but lean and trust in your mighty God.

A thousand shall flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five, you shall flee, till you are left like a flagstaff on the top of a mountain, like a signal on a hill. Isaiah 30:17

I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” Psalm 9:10

The Lord will accomplish His will, purpose, and plan exactly according to what He has decided and declared. Do not worry but press forward without fear. Do the work He has given you. When it is your time, there is nothing that can change it. All hell can be pushing to close your opened door but they will not prevail.

Besides this, what do you have to fear, except for the Lord? When everything is in place then the Lord will open the doors of heaven and shower down upon you all that is needed. He is your refuge, strength, and a mountain of promise that can not be moved.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Psalm 46:1-3

We will put everything in the hands of the Lord. Let the nations do as they will. Jesus Christ will come soon and judge them accordingly. Nothing in all creation will change His plan and will. Trust Him firm in your faith.

Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together before the LORD, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity. Psalm 98:7-9

The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; He utters his voice, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalms 46:6-7

The LORD Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen. Isaiah 14:24
