Do you know that the most powerful weapon against the enemy is prayer and resistance? The power through the Spirit of God will destroy walls, break chains, devastate wicked plans, and deliver from evil. It will give you strength, courage, and boldness to stand against the enemy and fully trust the Lord.
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it, John 14:13-14
If you want to know where to go, pray. If you want to know what to do, pray. If you are in despair, pray. You must pray no matter what situation or circumstance, good or bad. Let the Lord know your request, believe in Him, and trust He is in total control. Then leave it all in His capable hands. Turn your face to Jesus and march forward in the confidence of the Lord.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Matthew 21:22
Do you want to be effective in your everyday life, speech, and deeds? Then you must spend much time in prayer and communion with God. Pray continually, and stay in contact with the Lord day and night. Whether in the morning, evening, or every spare moment. Make your requests known to the Lord, who will answer your prayers.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Even Jesus had weaknesses in His flesh as a human, just like you and me. Though He was perfect in deed and thought, He needed to pray. Jesus would get up while it was still dark and pray with God. He needed the strength and power that only the Lord could give Him to accomplish His will. How much more do we need to pray?
And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed. Mark 1:35
I am just like you. I don’t pray as much as I should. God desires you to have a relationship with Him. He wants to shower you with spiritual blessings and give you what you need. Through prayer, you have a real connection to the God of creation. Because of your relationship, He can do things in your life that would not happen otherwise. He wants the best for you, so seek Him so He may show you what they are.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16
If you stay in prayer and His Spirit, though you may not know where you are going at times, He will then be able to refine you and make you more like Him. Suppose you submit yourself to His control and stay connected to Him every moment. Just imagine what powerful things He could do through you for His kingdom. You will possess instead of weakness, strength, instead of foolishness, wisdom, and instead of laziness, effectiveness.
When you put in the time and effort to communicate directly with God in prayer, the more you sacrifice, give, and pour out into Him, the more He will pour back into you. He is looking for empty and clean vessels that He may fill with Himself. If you do this, you can be confident that He will do all He has said He would do. He is the Lord. God fulfills every promise and concludes everything He starts to a perfect end. What a blessing it will be for you as you seek Him continually in prayer.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:7-11
Amen ask and You shall receive
