The works and plans of the Lord are mysterious and wonderful to behold. Those who believe and put their faith in Him will rejoice in the end, though it may be tough. They will see His power and majesty displayed, and the blessings will far outweigh the pain suffered.
He is not the one who creates confusion or dismay. He is not the one who causes distraction and deception. He is righteous, purposeful, and forthright. His plan is perfect and precise. His arrows, His chosen people, are set free from His bow with perfect timing, well-prepared and equipped. They will hit their target with pinpoint accuracy. To fulfill His will, shine His light, and save those still waiting in the darkness of sin.
He allows deep darkness, difficult struggles, taunting, afflictions, and vicious attacks to come upon His people. Yet, even as He allowed them to come upon Job, His faithful and righteous servant, your pain and sufferings are not for nothing but have a purpose to strengthen you out of your weakness.
And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”
Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason? Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.”
And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. Job 1:8-12
The Lord allows such things to happen to His servants not to destroy them but to show the strength of their faithfulness. To work wonders through weakness, to show His power by faith. To prove to all that there are still pure hearts who hold fast to His integrity. If need be, those who believe in the Lord, even to death, will stand by faith in God and not by their power or understanding.
God will flush out the wicked and tear them down in His time. He will reveal their sins and judge them for their judgmental behavior. Because they did not rejoice and honor the righteous for the purity of their hearts. He will rebuke them for holding to the devil’s wickedness and the foolishness of their hearts instead of the ways of the Lord.
But even now, God allows the unrighteous to come against the holy to cause much strife. He does this to strengthen, embolden, and uphold the righteous as they truly are; holy, righteous, and faithful to the Lord at any cost. The example of a righteous person shows what integrity, honesty, and moral living look like to an unbeliever. Some day they will suffer great shame for their treachery against God’s servants.
God will rebuke those who rebuked your goodness. He will provide a feast of gladness for you and rejoicing before their eyes someday. There will be no doubt about who was right and who was wrong. The Lord is the one who vindicates and upholds His holy people.
After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. Now, therefore, take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves.
And my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.” Job 42:7-8
Again, God will uphold and honor His servant. Wait and see; He never fails to do as He has promised for the faithful. Great things are coming for those who follow, obey, and believe in the Lord God Almighty. Who look to Jesus at every turn. Who never give up on the righteousness of the Lord. Stay devoted and faithful to your God; He has said it before and repeats it again, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
Yes, the storms will come and rock you to your core. But the Word of the Lord stands firm forever. God’s righteous servants will stand strong, firmly rooted upon the Rock, upon Jesus Christ. No one else in all creation is greater than the Lord God Almighty. So put your trust in Jesus Christ. In the end, He will prove who is of Him and those who are holy, righteous, and true to His call.
He is the One who resides in unapproachable light. The One who is unmovable, unshakable, and incomparable. Whose love for you is utterly unstoppable. His plan and will for your life will be accomplished by His powerful hand and in the name of Jesus Christ. So stand with confidence in the promises of the Lord; He will fulfill them.
Therefore David blessed the LORD in the presence of all the assembly. And David said: “Blessed are you, O LORD, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours.
Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand, it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name. 1 Chronicles 29:10-13
Also a passage to be found in the book of Job(13:15) – ” Though He slay me yet will I trust Him. But I will maintain my own ways before Him.” My prayer is we all stay firm in our faith and trust in Yahweh during these days of trials and tribulations. We have to keep our eyes on Him and eternity with Him.
