Put Your Trust In The Lord

Keep your eyes fixed upon the Lord. He will show you the right way. Blessed is the man who puts his trust in the Lord and not in the strength of man. Your strength and direction come from the Lord. He says, “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength.” But “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”

The world and the devil will do anything or use anyone to pull you away from your focus and distract you from the right path.  Stirring your emotions, causing you to veer off in the wrong direction. In that very moment, you are tempted to gaze away, remember it is the Lord’s ways that are true. He will show you the way. Stay in His light.

But when that time comes, and you do swerve from the path, return quickly to the Lord, He will be waiting. He will forgive and forget. He knows you are weak, there is no sin that is not common to man.

Then rebuke the devil and he will flee from you. Then hop back up on that path that leads to life, and continue on your way. The Lord will be right there to guide you back in the right direction.

He is a loving, caring, and forgiving God, slow to anger and quick to forgive. His hand will hold, keep, protect, and strengthen you for the road that lies ahead.

5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. 6 He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.

7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. 8 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? 10 “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17:5-10
