Put Your Trust In The Lord

Keep your eyes fixed upon the Lord Jesus. He will show you the right way. Blessed is the man who puts his trust in the Lord and not in man’s strength. Never forget where true strength comes from. Never forget that the Lord has laid out a good path for you to follow that leads to good things designed by Him.

He says, “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength.” But “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5

The world and the devil will do anything or use anyone to pull you away from your focus and distract you from the right path, from your destined place. Just look around you; the world is full of distractions. It has gotten worse year by year. These things cause you to veer off in the wrong direction instead of following His ways.

In that very moment, you are tempted to gaze away; remember it is the Lord’s ways that are right, and He will carry you through the hard times. His will for your life is what is essential. Not these fleeting pleasures and things that distract. He is always ready to help you focus on what is right and good for you, to shine His light on the path ahead.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I have sworn an oath and confirmed it to keep your righteous rules. Psalm 119:105-106

But when that time comes, you look away because we all do, and you swerve from the path. You must return quickly to the Lord. He will be waiting with open arms. He will forgive and forget. God knows you are weak and will work wonders through your weakness when you come to Him in humility and repentance.

Resist the devil and his evil trick and deception in Jesus’ name. Then he will flee from you, and the Lord will strengthen you as a reward. Then, get right back on the path that leads to life. Have complete assurance that the Lord is with you because He is. Resolve to not look to the right or left. The Lord will be right there to guide you wherever you go.

If you are faithful to Jesus and desire to follow Him, there will come a time when you do not know where you are going. But be assured, He knows exactly where you are and where He is leading you; that is faith. Walking forward knowing He is in control of your destination even when you can’t see one step in front of another.

He is a loving, caring, and forgiving God, slow to anger and quick to forgive. His hand will hold, keep, protect, and strengthen you for the road that lies ahead. Focus on Jesus. He is your goal. He will never fail. He will keep you until the end when you trust in Him.

Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited saltland.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water that sends out its roots by the stream and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I, the Lord, search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17:5-10
