The Lord Is On Your Side

Endure to the end as good and faithful soldiers of the Lord, that you may obey Him in all your ways. Give glory, honor, and praise to the One who is worthy of it all. Work hard doing the will of the Lord. Be patient as a farmer who works the land is patient for the rains and then the harvest.

Suffer well as an athlete suffers, works, and strives to become better at what he does. The Lord will bring benefits to all your struggles. Study and practice the task the Lord has given you so that you may be approved as a good and faithful workman for the cause of Christ.

Fight the good fight, and equip yourself with all the tools and weapons He has placed at your fingertips. He has fashioned them to be given to you to fight against the wickedness of this world and the spiritual forces of evil. Do not fail to put on the whole armor of God daily.

Be faithful by continuing to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and the hurting. The Lord will always be faithful to you, keep you, and hold you more firmly than anything you could imagine. He is your firm foundation and the Rock on which you stand.

Remember those who have gone before you. How great their faith was. That they were willing to face any challenge and any opposition to preach the truth of Jesus Christ to anyone, no matter the consequences.

Be faithful, bold, and endure to the end. Do not be afraid, for the army of the Lord is on your side. The Holy Spirit will strengthen you and speak through you. The Son of God, Jesus, is closer than a brother and will hold you fast in your faith. Your Heavenly Father loves you greatly and will shine His light on your path. So you will not lose your way. Because He is by your side forever.

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!

Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He also will deny us; if we are faithless, He remains faithful. 2 Timothy 2:1-13
