Who Is Your Captain

“Praise the Lord all my soul and all that is within me; praise His Holy name!”

Give all glory, honor, and praise to our Lord God, for He is worthy to be praised. He is my Captain and my authority. All authority, power, and dominion belong to Him and Him alone.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together! Psalm 34:1-3

He has complete control and supremacy over every single situation and world event. Nothing lies outside of His sight and jurisdiction. No high sea or buffeting wind of the wicked will ever cause Him to falter from His course. That which seems to be in the control of man is a delusion. Man has no more power than a fish has over the waves they swim in.

Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances, they go up; they are together lighter than a breath. Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them. Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work. Psalms 62:9-12

Whatever you do, no matter what it may be, do everything for the Lord. Do it with His objective, direction, and will in mind. Put everything into His hands and allow Him to be your guide. Let Him be the pilot, the Captain that directs the course of your life. He will sail the ship exactly where you need to go.

Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in holy array. Psalm 29:2

Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth. Psalm 57:5 O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. Isaiah 25:1

The end is drawing nearer still. The Lord has preordained every day, and His timing will not change. Therefore, fear the Lord and give Him glory. For He is worthy, and His judgment of the wicked is quickly coming to a head. They will not stand forever, but they will fall at their end.

But the righteous will stand and walk with Him in white, and they will praise Him forever in His glory. When the Lord is at the helm, His course will be true, and nothing will ever veer Him away from His path.

And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” Revelation 14:7
