“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10
When you are struggling and don’t know when it will end, be still, look up, listen for His gentle voice, and give it all to God. It may not seem to make sense or to be ending, but it will. It is happening for a purpose. Trust Him. He is in control. He knows the times, seasons, and reasons.
Come, behold the works of the Lord, how He has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46:8-11
He is so very tender and compassionate. He understands your struggles. He understands your frustration and saves every tear in a bottle in remembrance. He knows them all and hears your every cry of pain and for help. Trust in Him, He does not fade or fail, and neither is any of it in vain.
You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me? Psalm 56:8-11
Sometimes He is just waiting for you to give up. Let go of everything else you are holding. Let go of those last few things that God desires. Those things you have not given to Him yet. He waits for you to give up and give them all to Him. So that He may hold you utterly secure in His arms, you can trust Him to care for everything. He will because His faithfulness and love for you are new every morning.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24
Oh, how He longs to hear your voice crying for help. That He may give you all that you need, He will lovingly whisper His love, grace, mercy, instruction, comfort, care, compassion, and truth when you stop and listen for His gentle voice. So give all your cares to Him and listen for His voice to say, “This is the way; walk in it,”
Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts Himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him. For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as He hears it, He answers you.
And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Isaiah 30:18-21
