Do not be like those who are false, the people of this world. Watch yourself carefully and watch out for them. In this day and age, they are everywhere. Masquerading as angles of light, but when they open their mouths to speak when you see the fruit of their lives, and the work of their hands you can see their true colors.
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
Do not follow their ways. Do not go along with their folly. Some proclaim Jesus, but with foul mouths, deceitful schemes, crafty plans, and evil intent they deceive and lead many astray to their own destruction. Even many under a false cover or Ordination, Church Leadership, or Ministry Title. Filling their followers with their own wickedness and evil spirits they themselves are tormented by.
But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion.
These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever. Jude 1:10-13
Their vile ways and wicked behavior have not been missed by the Lord. He sees it all and has accounted and written it all done. Their judgment is in the wind and is drawing close. They will not escape from the mighty hand of God.
Even all the animals of the earth know their course, they know the boundary that the Lord has placed before them. They know it well and they follow and obey the Lord in every way. But these people have no sense or understanding, they refuse to listen to the instruction, their conscience, and the commandments of the Lord. They dive headlong into sin and the abundance of their wickedness!
For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. Romans 1:21-25
Follow the Lord in all your ways! Do not listen to them, turn away from them, and keep your eyes always on the Lord. Follow His leading and leaning upon Him in everything. His Laws, way, and precepts will be life to your bones and strength to your spirit. He will bless you greatly for all you do for Him.
“You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord: When men fall, do they not rise again? If one turns away, does he not return? Why then has this people turned away in perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit; they refuse to return.
I have paid attention and listened, but they have not spoken rightly; no man relents of his evil, saying, ‘What have I done?’ Everyone turns to his own course, like a horse plunging headlong into battle. Even the stork in the heavens knows her times, and the turtledove, swallow, and crane keep the time of their coming, but my people know not the rules of the Lord.
“How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. The wise men shall be put to shame; they shall be dismayed and taken; behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord, so what wisdom is in them?
Therefore I will give their wives to others and their fields to conquerors, because from the least to the greatest everyone is greedy for unjust gain; from prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely. Jeremiah 8:4-10
