There is no turning back when you truly dedicate yourself to Jesus Christ. There is no going back to the ways of your past or doing things like the world. That is what makes it a narrow road. Not many are willing to do anything the Lord asks of them, especially because it involves abandoning their sinful ways. But He requires you to keep your eyes fixed firmly upon Jesus.
Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
Even though you will get bumps, bruises, and hardships, He will carry you through them all if you trust Him. Do what is right and good no matter how hard it gets. Be like Christ and be holy, righteous, and an example for those lost in this wicked world. Don’t be the one who looks back and veers off the path at every distraction, as one who is wayward. Keep your mind focused on the Lord Jesus Christ through every rough patch in the road. You are guaranteed to walk through uncertain and dark times, but the Lord is with you always. He will bring you through to the end.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season, we will reap if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
Keep moving forward, keep trudging up that mountain of difficulty. Keep speaking and writing the things people genuinely need to hear. Keep preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the only thing that has the power to save their souls from destruction in hell. God will make the way; you just need to keep moving forward.
The Lord has prepared the path for you. Even if you can’t see it, He has made a way through. He will open things up when the time is right and guide you safely to the place He has prepared. Never forget that He will never leave you or fail you. He will strengthen and make you bold to keep moving to the top.
Now, who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 1 Peter 3:13-16
