Live With A Grateful Heart

How are you to live as a child of God? In scripture, God clearly tells us we should display humility, patience, kindness, and compassionate hearts toward all men. We should bear with each other and forgive one another when they do us wrong. We all sin, make mistakes and need compassion and forgiveness. The Lord showed you mercy, so you should show them to one another.

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Let love reign in your life in complete righteousness and holiness with one another, loving, helping, praying, and caring for one another in total patience. Do this, just as God has desired you to do. Praise the Lord for all the wonderful things He has done for you. Shout to the Lord, sing and shout for joy with song, worship, and singing. Show the Lord how grateful you are because everything He allows to happen in the life of His children is for His glory and your benefit.

I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 145:1-3

In every situation, good or bad, give glory, honor, and praise to your King with gratefulness and thanksgiving, for He is worthy of it all. If you have woken up this morning, you are blessed. If you take in a breath of fresh air, you are blessed. If you see the beauty of His creation, you are blessed. If you are even persecuted, abused, or tested severely for your faith in Jesus, you are blessed above others.

If you are still here, there is one more chance to do good for Him and to make the Lord smile upon you. You have one more day to do great work for Him. In due time you will be richly rewarded. So keep up the excellent work for the Kingdom of God.

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all, these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:12-17
