Light On A Hilltop

The Lord is mighty in power and majesty. He is magnificent and radiant, and He will overwhelm His adversaries. He rules over all things and is in all things. Nothing can ever stand against Him. Every creature and everything He has created will bow at His feet. All will bow and declare He is King no matter who they are, big or small, weak or mighty. These statements are true whether you believe them or not. He is sovereign overall.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. 1 Chronicles 29:11 For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” Romans 14:11

The Lord is your rock and fortress. He is your sure strength and deliverer. With Him on your side, you have nothing to fear. He is always with you, surrounding, defending, and protecting you with His mighty hand if you are His child. He strengthens your arms, encourages your heart, straightens your knees, and sharpens your mind so that no matter what comes against you, you will not fail.

Though you may stumble, and you may fall. The Lord gives strength and forgiveness to get up and run again. For without the struggle and strain, there is no spiritual gain. Therefore, you who are true to the Lord stand up and speak the truth of Jesus Christ without hesitation or shame. Those who proclaim His name and spread His Word will have their names declared and affirmed across heaven by the Lord Himself.

Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10:31-33

If you walk true to His call, you will be like a light set up on a hilltop that all may see. You will shine and brighten the landscape covered by darkness. God desires to set free the people that the devil holds captive through the work of your obedience.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

We will praise Him forever, for He is worthy. We will rejoice for all the wonderful works He has accomplished and all the mighty things He has done and is about to do. We lift His name on high, for He is God. Awesome, glorious, righteous, holy, and all-powerful is He!

May you always rest in His strength, not fearing anything, because He is always with you. He will keep you, and no shame will come to your name. Those who stand boldly and declare who Jesus is, God will praise and be lifted high in the presence of the Lord. He is the King of kings, Lord of lords, ruler over all the nations, and forever to reign over all peoples and lands. Praise the Lord, for He will bless those who shine brightly for Him.

I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.

They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and His mercy is over all that He has made.

All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. Psalm 145:1-13
