Do Not Let It Go To Waste

Be careful not to do your good works before men. Remember, it is the intent of the heart that matters. You will reap what you sow. If it is for an earthly audience and the applause you desire, it is all you will receive. But if you sow to please the Lord, He promises to reward you. Your reward will be far greater than anything you would have in mind.

Do what you do for the Lord secretly so you may receive what is better, for the Lord said not to declare your giving with a trumpet so that people may praise you. But give in secret that the Lord God will see it and be pleased with your sacrifice. He will give back to you for your kindness and generous hand.

Remember, Jesus said that when you pray, go into your inner room and pray to Him secretly. Present to Him all your troubles and requests. For what the Lord sees you do in secret, He will surely not turn away. Whatever you do, do it for the Lord and His will, purpose, plan, praise, and reward.

Do not let your good works go to waste, seeking the approval of men. But do your good deeds so that only the Lord sees them. Even if men have no idea what a giving person you may be, the Lord will see you as a great and faithful servant. Always keep in mind that the ways of God are the opposite of man.

For Jesus said, The last will be first, and the first last. Matthew 20:16

Then, when you are welcomed into the Heavenly places, the Lord Himself will greet you and bring you up to the place of prominence before all of Heaven to see. Those who obey Him in a low position here will be honored in Heaven. Just as Jesus said in the parable about the wedding feast, “But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then, you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:1-6
