Continue in the faith and in full confident trust in your Lord Jesus Christ. There is no one more worthy of your loyalty, confidence, and trust. Keep seeking to do His will no matter what comes against you. Keep trusting in His promises and the hope He has given you.
It is time to be awake and wide-eyed for the enemy has come out of their holes. It is time to keep your armor on tight and your sword and shield close at the ready. For the wicked ones of this world are bearing their teeth, they are showing their true colors, and they are no longer hiding in the shadows anymore. They have come out in full force to pollute and destroy the land and all the people they can before the end.
Do not be surprised at what is going on. It has not taken the Lord by surprise and it is all happening to fulfill His plan and His purpose. He knows the purpose of the wicked and their end.
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies; your tongue mutters wickedness. No one enters suit justly; no one goes to law honestly; they rely on empty pleas, they speak lies, they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity. They hatch adders’ eggs; they weave the spider’s web; he who eats their eggs dies, and from one that is crushed a viper is hatched. Isaiah 59:1-5
We are living in a corrupt and wicked world and we have been for a very long time. But there is something more evil and more openly vile that has raised its head, that is captivating the world.
People speak open lies and slander, calling things that are good, evil, those who are righteous, racist, practices that are honest, hateful, and lifestyles that please God, horrible. The Bible warns that these times would come and to our astonishment, they are here all around us.
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Even though these are the times we live in, as a follower of Christ we are not in the dark. Our eyes have been opened to the truth, we can see the light from the dark and also what is soon to come.
After this time of trial there will come another time when people will say, “peace and security.” Then it will be rejoicing and a new song for the righteous, for the bride of Christ, and our hearts will be filled with joy at the coming of the Lord.
They lift up their voices, they sing for joy; over the majesty of the Lord they shout from the west. Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; in the coastlands of the sea, give glory to the name of the Lord, the God of Israel. From the ends of the earth we hear songs of praise, of glory to the Righteous One. Isaiah 24:14-16
But fear and terror on every side for those left behind, those who do evil and pursue it.
Terror and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth! He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble. Isaiah 24:17-18
Don’t give up, but patiently endure. This time must come and it must continue until the end, according to the word of the Lord. Don’t be surprised, people will continue to go from bad to worse. But stay firm in your faith in the Lord. He will redeem those He has chosen and the sun will breakthrough. In the end there will be joy forevermore.
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:12-16
