Willing To Give It All

Are you willing to give it all to Jesus? Are you willing to abandon all else and put your faith in the Lord? To follow and obey Him no matter the cost, or how rough the road that you must traverse.

Whatever it is that God has given you to do, whether it may be something huge for the Kingdom of God or small, it is important. Whatever you do, do it heartily, cheerfully, and completely by your faith in God. Remember, the righteous will live by faith.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 2:23-24

He judges everyone by their deeds. Not by what they say they believe, what they make others believe is true, or the knowledge and understanding of what is right, but by what they do by faith.

He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, He will give eternal life;

but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. For God shows no partiality. Romans 2:6-11

What God loves are faith, righteousness, and obedience. Pure, unwavering, undoubting faith in Him. He will work everything out for your good according to His will when you dedicate your life to Him. He will reward your righteous deeds because of your complete faith and trust. When you do not hold on to the natural crutches of worldly things, but trust in His plan, waiting patiently for His plans to be completed.

But my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10:38

He loves it when you are a cheerful giver. Not only of your money, which is actually something of very small value. But God loves it when you give Him everything your time, hopes, dreams, money, and every aspect of your own life.

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-9

Yes, God wants you to give everything, your life, your soul, every decision, and direction you decide to go. A show of true loyalty to Him is when you give up your life to follow Him.

This is the kind of faith He is looking for. That which is true, loyal, and dedicated to Him. A servant that is holy, righteous, and trustworthy in every aspect of life. Willing to lay down your own desires for the sake of Christ Jesus and the mission He has prepared you for. Just as Jesus laid down His life for you on the cross.

“I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17:10

Don’t listen to those who try to tickle your ears, tantalizing you with the things of your flesh. Telling you that you must make sure your checkbook balances first before you give to the Lord. That you must seek all your own hopes and dreams before giving yourself to Him or asking God to fulfill your request before giving to Him.

If it wasn’t hard, it would not be walking by faith. If you follow the ways of the world or hold anything back you are not walking by faith, but by sight. Many can not see past the natural, but if you have faith in God you can walk alone with Him without fear of the future. For He upholds His children.

Surely if you give up all that you have or everything that you ever hoped for in this life, God has promised to be faithful and carry you through to the end. He promises to help you accomplish every errand and task He gives you to do, providing what you need along the way.

He can not lie and He will do as He promises. He will reward those who give Him everything. He will reward the righteous and faithful far greater than anyone could imagine.

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him” these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

If you lose everything in this world for the sake of God’s will, plan, and purpose. You will win a prize that is beyond anything, far beyond comparison to anything this world has to offer. For some who are faithful, they will even receive a reward here on earth, because they are worthy of it. But to most others, it is stored up for Heaven. No matter where your reward lies, be faithful to the end.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. Romans 8:18-19

There are very few who will truly give God everything. Will you be one of those who give Him everything? Will you be one of His radically faithful servants? One that He will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives Him who sent me.

The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.

And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. Matthew 10:39-42
