Better is a man who walks in his integrity, following and obeying the instruction of the Holy Spirit, than one who turns away from God. Better is this wise man, even if he is misunderstood, ignored, and disdained by others. He is better than a man who seeks riches, follows religion, and is received with thunderous applause.
Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways. The one who keeps the law is a son with understanding, but a companion of gluttons shames his father. Proverbs 28:6-7
It is essential to walk in the wisdom and integrity of the Lord. To seek insight, discernment, and a perception that only comes from Him. It is the wisdom that comes only from God that will deliver you from the deception of this world. He is the only one who can give you His righteousness through Jesus Christ, that delivers you from death, sin, and hell.
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. Proverbs 11:3-4
Many in this world put on a great show for all to see. They prance around churches and stages. They masquerade in an exhibition with their false holiness, displaying the glitter of their outward goodness when their heart desires everything for themselves. But the truth will be self-evident when their word and actions are tested. The truth will be revealed when the Lord tests their works by fire. God will make sure they have reaped what they have sown.
The sins of some people are conspicuous, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others appear later. So also good works are conspicuous, and even those that are not cannot remain hidden. 1 Timothy 5:24-25 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are His delight. Proverbs 12:22
Honesty is the best policy. Even if you find that today you have been a fool. It is better to admit it and accept the consequences. It is better to repent, turn from your sins and rid yourself of your own foolishness. Then think yourself wise and continue to walk the path of a fool.
It is better to appear on the outside to be the least and most insignificant in the eyes of men. To be a fool in their eyes and wise in the eyes of the Lord. It is better to be a faithful powerhouse on the inside to build the kingdom of God than to be a fool who looks like he rules a nation. May you look at yourself with sober judgment and turn from foolishness.
My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them and healing to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. Proverbs 4:20-27
