Seek the wisdom that comes from the Lord. Search it out, seek it diligently, and make petitions to the Lord that He may increase your share daily. Then turn away from evil. Pursue His knowledge, understanding, and insight to please the Lord in all you do and say. Then He will give it to you generously. He will enrich your soul, heal your hurts, protect your heart, and prolong your life according to His will. Good things come to those who see the wisdom of the Lord.
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
His wisdom is more precious than gold and more valuable than silver. His wisdom is more valuable than fine jewels, gems, and all the possessions of this world. Therefore, it is better to turn away from the things that entice a man that he takes into his heart to put his trust in, to turn away from the things of this world. Wisdom is to follow the Lord and to listen to His insight. Listen to the wisdom from the words of God. It will never return to you void.
How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life. Proverbs 16:16-17
Associate with those who also are seeking God’s wisdom. They will encourage your walk with Him and help you stay on the straight and narrow. They will help you grow in your discernment, comprehension, and appreciation of the Lord. God will use them in ways you never thought possible. Because if you walk with a company of fools, you might fall to their folly. Be like the wise man that listens to a rebuke and turns.
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 13:20
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. For by me, your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it. Proverbs 9:9-12
More than anything else, give glory, honor, and praise to the Lord, the giver of wisdom. Who gives wisdom generously to all those who ask it of Him. Get wisdom, insight, and understanding that you may live and prosper, that your feet may not slip. So that the Lord may pour out upon you true blessing, He will give you blessings that will overflow in your lap and fulfill His promises to all those who seek Him.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip. Psalm 37:30-31 Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Proverbs 4:5-7
