The stage is set, the lights are on, and every prop has been put into place. The cast members have been taught their roles, and the curtain is about to open. The Lord has been orchestrating and setting the stage for His coming. He has trained and positioned His servants, His pieces, for the last and final act. So that He will bring salvation to the last of the remnant and condemn the wicked.
“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Revelation 22:12-13
Are you His servant? Has He been preparing you to perform a task, a job of critical importance? If so the evidence is the struggle, pain, hardship, trial, tribulation, and persecution you have had to endure. All this in the face of your refinement and growth in the Spirit of the Lord. He surely has been preparing His children for this very time and hour.
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles.
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Matthew 10:16-20
In these last days, He has been reaching out to the entire world. He has been preparing His workers, His laborers to work in His harvest fields. Your main function as a follower of Jesus Christ is to seek to save the lost. To declare the truth to anyone and everyone that you can. To reach out to them with the soul-saving power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Not just to save a life from discomfort or to help pick them up out of the dirt. Though this too is important. But to save their souls from eternal death and ruin in hell. The destination of all mankind who do not turn to Jesus and repent of their many sins. Those who have gone before you have paved the way. They have sown the seeds of the Gospel as well in their field of ministry.
Strengthen yourself in your faith and trust in the Lord. Go show them the great love of Jesus Christ. That He came to die, pay for your sins, defeat death, and was risen from the dead. That their sins may be forgiven. He is waiting to grant eternal life to all those who believe, follow, and obey.
Lift up your eyes and see all those around you. Right now they are heading for an eternity of torment if you don’t reach out to them with the truth. Seek the Lord to be filled with His Spirit so that you may have power, boldness, and focus to seek to save the lost. Do it in whatever fashion the Lord has placed upon your heart. Even some non-believers understand that if you had a message of eternal life and you did not warn people about the danger of eternal punishment, you do not have love, but hate.
“How much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate someone to believe that everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?” Penn Jillette, Atheist
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work. Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest?’ Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. John 4:34-35
Even now the Lord is giving both those who sow and those who reap rewards for eternity. Go and build up treasures in Heaven. Leading the lost sheep of the Lord to eternal life. The time is now. Once the last act has been performed, then the end will come. The Lord Jesus will come again in the flesh. At that time it will be too late for those who should have paid better attention to the signs of His coming. Once the final curtain is drawn closed it will be too late to see the show.
Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.” John 4:36-38
