Times Of Difficulty To Come

The world, indeed, is in the last days. All it takes is a good look around our world, and you can see that time draws very close. It is at the door and stumbling over the threshold without most knowing it. The people of this world are calling good evil and evil good. They are rampant in their love of sin, arrogance, pride, abuse, depravity, and wickedness. The deceptiveness of religion and the devil’s wickedness has become a trap for them.

But understand this, that in the last days, there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

People are fearful and anxious at the slightest show of trouble, like nothing we have seen before. They are scared and afraid of everything from the changing of seasons, the blowing of the wind to someone’s slight cough. They fear anything that might impact their comfort and the false sense of security they hold, fearing everything except the Lord.

Pray the Lord will give you insight, peace, and understanding so you will not fear in times like these. That God will keep you strong when worse things come. Yes, sometimes we become fearful. But have faith; the Lord is in control and will protect His children.

And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Matthew 24:7-8 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. Luke 21:26 Do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. Isaiah 8:12

Do not give in to fear or be afraid. These times have to come, and the Lord must fulfill His Word. No matter what happens, honor God with your life. So may it be in life or death, put on love, hope, and faithfulness, trusting in Him fully. Give the Lord Jesus Christ all honor, glory, and praise in all you do. No matter what comes.

Now, concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you, yourselves, are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then, let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night.

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep, we might live with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
