The Lord is your portion. He is your rest. He is your rock. He is your fortress. He is your strong tower. God is your help in time of need.
He is your Abba Father, whose love for you is everlasting. He is your confidence, strength, hope, joy, and love forevermore.
Lean on Him and not on your own understanding. He knows what is best. Give everything over into His hands, He will open the right doors and keep shut the wrong ones. With this understanding, you will be able to move forward in full trust and confidence that the Lord your God is in control.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
He is with you, He will never leave you, never will He forsake you. Because He never lies and His promises are true.
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
Many times and in many situations the Lord places you right smack in the middle of the fire and it is very painful. You don’t understand why you must suffer so much. But what He is doing is an amazing thing.
Like a silversmith sits and watches over silver being refined in the fire. To bring it to perfection. Being careful not to ruin the silver until it reflect His face. God holds you in the fire until all the impurities are burned off. Until His face is reflected in you.
For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD. Malachi 3:2-3
You have been pressed into the floor with such a hard and heavy load of suffering. But He has a great purpose and a plan for each and every one. The beauty of His face will be reflected back through yours for all the world to see.
He does not let anything be wasted on His children. But He uses every trial and test to grow, shape, mold, and make you into His beautiful image.
And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’ Zechariah 13:9
You think that if one more feature of pain, confusion, difficulty, or sorrow is laid upon your back you will break. But God knows how much you can take. You are much stronger than you think. He knows the lengths He must go to bring you to perfection, reflecting His image.
Great is His faithfulness and great is His steadfast love that He does not leave you in those places. He does not keep you in the fire forever. But give great joy, peace, and rejoicing when His work is done.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:1-5
At times you think, this is the end. But He picks you up just at the right time and restores your soul. Just as a loving father picks up his child and comforts them, speaking kindness, and lovingly soothes their tears. So will your loving Heavenly Father pick you up and love on you.
Then later you look back on all those struggles and pains, you will see how He transformed you, how truly amazing His work is. You will understand the great love He poured out upon you and feel the gratefulness in your heart for all He has done.
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11
Then you will rise and shine. You will praise Him and give God all the glory, honor, and praise. You will worship your Lord and Savior Jesus for all He has done and not regret a single moment.
Sing for joy for all the Lord has done, tell of His excellent greatness, and of His wonderful mercies all day long.
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Let him sit alone in silence when it is laid on him; Lamentations 3:21-28
