God is seated up high. He sits upon His throne above the whole world, above all rule, and all authority. He is seated on His throne and rules with justice, righteousness, and holiness. There is nothing that escapes His sight, no one will move His hand. With God, Jesus will one day judge all mankind with perfect judgment and authority.
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Revelation 5:13
He lays low all the wicked. Just at the right time, they will receive their just reward. One day you will look and they will be gone. They will not be found again. To punishment they will go, to be paid back for all the wrong they have ever accomplished upon the earth.
He makes a pit, digs it out, and falls into the hole that he has made. His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull, his violence descends. Psalm 7:15-16
It is not that we want the sinner to suffer or that God caused it. But they have brought it upon themselves by their own rebellion. A sin is a conscious act of disobedience or wickedness that go against the Lord’s commands. Each sin holds a just punishment. Each wrongdoing is like wages earned. Someday a paycheck of judgment will be due and each person will be held responsible for their own balance.
Jesus has paid the price for your redemption. The debt of sin you owe to God. The question is, will you give yourself to Him and accept His payment on your account or will you refuse and decide to pay for it yourself? You do know that all self-paid accounts are payable in Hell.
But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears that they might not hear. They made their hearts diamond-hard lest they should hear the Law and the Words that the LORD of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great anger came from the LORD of hosts. “As I called, and they would not hear, so they called, and I would not hear,” says the LORD of hosts, Zechariah 7:11-13
They refuse not only to listen to the messengers of the Lord then, His holy prophets. But also they plug their ears, making loud contemptuous noises. They will not listen when warned now by the Lord’s messengers. But the righteous are not like them. They do not behave in these ways. But they listen intently to the voice of the Lord and His messengers. They turn from their sins and repent when warned. They know the Lord’s voice, they listen and obey.
Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” John 10:27-28
We will praise the Lord God for all the wonderful and amazing things He has done. We will sing to Him a new song. With shouts of joy, for our Lord God Almighty rules and reigns. His Kingdom will remain forever, and His rule will never end. He will reward those who listen to Him and pay back those who rebel.
Jesus is the king and His power and authority are over all creation. He has delivered His people from sin and death. Someday we will no longer remember the pain and suffering of this life. It will not even be a distant memory, but it will never come to mind again. What a wonderful day that will be!
We will praise, worship, glorify, honor, and celebrate with all the Saints and angels for all eternity. Great is our God and greatly to be praised is His name. Forever we will dwell in the light of His glory. Turn to the Lord and join us. We want to see you up in Heaven with us.
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before your presence. For you have maintained my just cause; you have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment. You have rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish; you have blotted out their name forever and ever.
The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins; their cities you rooted out; the very memory of them has perished. But the Lord sits enthroned forever; He has established His throne for justice, and He judges the world with righteousness; He judges the peoples with uprightness. The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:1-10
