An Eternity Of Celebration

Some day we will dine with the Bridegroom, Jesus, in Heaven. We will feast at the supper table with our Lord. It will be a celebration of all the great and marvelous things the Lord has done. We will rejoice and be exceedingly glad in His presence forevermore. How great, awesome, and joyous that day will be for those who are faithful and true to the Lord our God. There will be glory, joy, praise, and happiness and never any sorrow ever again.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol or let your holy one see corruption. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:9-11

The Lord will defeat all evil. He will put them under His feet. Even though the wicked have done their worst to thwart the will, plans, and purposes of the Lord. They will utterly fail. He will throw them into hell to be tormented by the judgment they have earned for all eternity.

But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge. He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD, our God, will wipe them out. Psalm 94:22-23

Praise the Lord, for there will be no more tears, pain, or sorrow for the righteous. Nothing wicked will ever be heard of in Heaven again. Most importantly for the servants of the Lord, sin will no longer have a hold on us and will never be remembered. Can you imagine such a thing? All wickedness will be utterly eradicated. All glory to God! There will be a celebration, worship, praise, love, joy, and peace with the Lord Jesus Christ without end.

But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Revelation 21:27

But for now, we wait, hope, endure, and trust in the Lord in everything. We know He will do all these things for those who love Him. Those who are faithful endure much suffering in silence and obey Him in all their ways. So, for now, we hold onto Him and move forward into His promises.

So keep up the good fight, work for the Lord diligently, and keep your eyes upon Him step by step. Be intentional and do as He commands. He will hold you and keep you until that day, until that great and glorious day of celebration in Heaven.

O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful, and sure. For you have made the city a heap, the fortified city a ruin; the foreigners’ palace is a city no more; it will never be rebuilt. Therefore strong peoples will glorify you; cities of ruthless nations will fear you.

For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall, like heat in a dry place. You subdue the noise of the foreigners, as heat by the shade of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is put down.

On this mountain, the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. And He will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.

He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of His people He will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.

It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, that He might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation.” Isaiah 25:1-9
