Where Does Your Confidence Rest

In this time of trouble, do not tremble? In this time of turmoil, do not get tense? In this time of uncertainty, do not become unhinged? In this time of distress, do not be distraught? In this time of confinement, don’t become claustrophobic? For your source of encouragement is close, your source of peace is near. Look to the Lord and you will find your comfort, you will find your strength and confidence in your time of need.

But as for me, I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Micah 7:7

Have you ever known someone who can sleep like a baby in the middle of a thunderstorm, climb high mountains, or stand calmly in front of a fearful foe? Some are naturally less fearful. But that is not the confidence I am talking about. True fearlessness and boldness only comes from complete trust in God.

When you put your complete faith and trust in the Lord God Almighty, you know He holds you in the palm of His hand, and your days are sealed. No man, beast, or storm will ever change it or sway that fact. You can have complete peace and security in the middle of raging seas or against any odds.

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10

Because you trust in the Lord of the Universe, He who created all things with a Word, you can be confident He holds and keeps you.

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the LORD, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself, Isaiah 44:24

It is the King of Glory who holds your hand. It is the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords who goes before you.

It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8

It is His Spirit that dwells in His temple within you, and His angels that surround you to protect you from all harm.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11

When that day comes and it is time to leave this world, what is there to fear anyway. Into Heaven and Glory, you will be greeted with shouts of joy and happiness forevermore!

Trust in His steadfast love, believe in His unfailing grace, hope in His omnipotent power, and rest in His eternal embrace. This is where you receive the strength, courage, and unflinching boldness to carry on against any storm or foe.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-18

14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. 15 See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
