Oh, how great the love the Father has for you. Oh, How wide, deep, high, and long-reaching is the Love of God for you. The depths of the sea could not hold it, the heights of the mountains could not reach it, the vastness of the surface of the earth could not measure it, and the expanse of the heavens could not contain all the love the Father has for you. You may not understand, but let me try to explain.
Those who are true and obedient followers of Jesus Christ have been transformed by the love of God. The evidence that they are children of God and their true faith in God is their love. They will have this great love welling up like a spring within them. Living water that gives true life to their very soul. It is also like good fruit that grows on its branches, to be displayed for all to see. You can tell when God’s love is in them.
When those on the outside look at them, the Love of the Lord will be plain to see. Many other good fruits will be evident; kindness, compassion, forgivingness, respect, honesty, and peace just to name a few. Do you have the love of the Lord? Is the living water welling up within you? Are the fruits of His Spirit evident in your life?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things, there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22-24
How desperately the world needs to know of the great love of the Father. That He would send His only beloved Son Jesus into the world to die for the forgiveness of all mankind. Offering it as a free gift, if only they would repent, turn, and believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Saving them from the judgment to come and from death in hell. Remember that the reason Jesus had to die was that God is righteous and perfect and He will judge sin wherever it is found.
The Lord does not want you to hide the gift of love He has poured out on you. But He wants you to shine bright like a city on a hill, like a lamp set upon a stand for all to see. He wants you to share His good news of the Gospel with others. That they may receive His gift of salvation and love.
Jesus declares to all His beloved children, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” So go, follow, and obey the call He is giving you right now at this moment, and love one another.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. 1 John 4:7-12
