Jesus said, ““Woe to the world for temptations to sin! For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the one by whom the temptation comes! Matthew 18:7

Did you see that? You will be tempted in this world, no doubt. But, woe to those by whom the temptation comes. You will be persecuted and reviled. But woe to those who ridicule the righteous for the sake of Jesus.

Evil people will come and they will go. The self-righteous and religious will mock, because of the goodness in your heart and the devotion in your soul. But they will not get very far.

Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:12-13

Resist the entrapments of the Devil. Study the Word of God that when a deceitful wind or word comes, it will not catch you off guard. But you will clearly see it from far away. Stand firm in faith in the Lord and in the power of His Spirit. You will not be fooled and you will not fail.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. James 4:7-10
