Have you ever looked at the beauty of the world? The complexities of the universe, and the intricacies of the human body. They are so incredibly complicated. How is it that everything has such purpose and order?
Take the human eye, for example, it is said to have over ninety million cells. The cells collect light and communicate a clear picture of information to the brain. In this way, you can see the beauty of a sunset over an ocean. The majestic scenery of a mountain range, or the plentiful greenery of a hidden valley. How can it be, that a human eye is able to function so efficiently? Something so intricate in function could have never happened by chance.
Have you ever wondered if there is more to this life? Is there more than what meets the eye? For all who live will someday die, and in the end, those who gain will lose who try.
Is there a God who has made all things? Is there a Heaven where joy and happiness are given to those who were good, upright, and just? Those forgiven by God. If so is there be a place of punishment for the wicked, cruel, and oppressive? Those who disobeyed the Words of the Lord, who have broken His Law.
Look at all the things that surround you. The tall skyscrapers that shape the city skyline. The cell phone that you hold in your hand. The fact that they exist is evidence that there is a designer and a builder. Someone with great intelligence and knowledge that crafted the pieces together in such a perfect way that they work and perform a function exactly as they were intended.
If this is true, then don’t you see that creation, and the whole universe screams out that there has to be a Creator. Someone with great intelligence and knowledge who created this complex and beautiful World we live in. Who conceived the idea of all things, created, and put them into place. A creation that is so much more elaborate and complex than anything that man has ever conceived to make.
I have another question for you. Do you think you are a “Good Person?” Do you think you are good enough to go to Heaven someday when this life is over?
Think carefully and consider these next several questions and see if you are.
How many lies have you told in your lifetime? Even fibs, half-truths, and white lies are still considered a lie. Have you ever stolen anything? It doesn’t matter how big or small it is, if it wasn’t yours, that is stealing.
Have you taken God’s name in vain? Such as saying “Oh My God” or “Jesus Christ”? This is using God’s name as a curse word or even using it flippantly with no regard to who’s the name you are using. If someone was to use your mother’s name as a curse word, you would be very offended.
Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:27-28
If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that one day God will punish all those who break His Law The Ten Commandments, which these are only four of them. He is a righteous and pure God, Holy and Just, He can not allow any wickedness whatsoever into Heaven. He will find you guilty and He will be forced to send you to a terrible place called Hell. This is like His prison for those who break His commandments.
You can not pay for your own sins. Doing good deeds to try to outweigh what you have done wrong will have no effect. The judge does not care what good you have done in the past or in the present when He is judging you for the crimes you have committed. It is even worse for it may seem you are trying to bribe the judge.
What are you to do? Your only hope is that someone else pays your fine!
It is one hundred percent guaranteed that you will die someday, and you will have to stand before God on Judgement day.
It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, Hebrews 9:27
But did you know that there is Hope for you? Did you know that God did a wonderful thing for you?
God is not willing that any should perish even though we are all sinners.
“For all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23.
But God! It is the most powerful statement of all!
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved Ephesians 2:4-5
But Jesus paid your fine when He died on the Cross. He shed His blood for the payment of your sins and mine. This means that God can legally dismiss your case.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
He was buried and then three days later Jesus rose from the dead, defeating sin and death.
Today there are three things you need to do; Confess your sins to God, repent, which means to turn away from your life of sin, and trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
If you do this from your heart, repent, and believe that Jesus Christ is God and your Savior, God promises to forgive you of all your sins. Then He will grant you eternal life as a free gift. No longer will you be condemned to Hell and punishment for the Lord Jesus Christ has taken your punishment and has granted you eternal life in Heaven. Where there is no crying, tears, sorrow, pain, or even the memory of such things.
If you seek the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, He says, “You will find Me.” Then read the Bible daily and obey it. I would suggest starting in the book of John.
Please consider this carefully and turn to God for the forgiveness of your sins today! Do not wait until tomorrow! You don’t know the day or hour that you will die! Tomorrow may be too late! Then follow and obey Him in everything He commands you to do. Work to build the Kingdom of God and great will be your reward in Heaven. Yes, He also promises a reward to those who follow and obey.
This decision is more important than gaining all the riches of the world.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?” Matthew 16:26
The only thing you will take from this world into eternity is your eternal soul. Please turn to the Lord today.
