Oh, what a wonderful, giving, and loving God you serve. He longs to give His beloved children good gifts. He is such a good good Father. Giving you the right as His child to go boldly to the throne room, to the throne of grace, to make your every request known to Him.
He says, “I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Throughout scripture, you are instructed to ask, pray, let your requests, and supplications be known unto God. What should you ask for above anything else? But for the indwelling and power of the Holy Spirit.
What is of more importance than to receive, walk, and live in the Spirit of God? The answer is nothing is more important. Everything else that you need will follow if you give everything to Him and worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth.
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24
Will He refuse? Will He deny His loved ones the gift that is of the greatest importance for His children? No, He will answer and He will give.
Ask from a pure heart and not from your own passions or desires. He will give you what you ask for, His Holy Spirit. Everything else is of insignificant value. How are you to know the right thing to do or where to go without the leading and guidance of His Spirit?
God is so good and so very mighty. His riches are beyond all comprehension. Will He not give to those who ask from a pure heart?
“For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine.” Psalm 50:10
Your loving Father is holding out His hands to you waiting for you to drop everything else and run to Him. Give everything over to Him with open hands and an open heart. There is nothing more important to the Lord than His faithful servant that truly desires to lose everything in this world in exchange for Him.
And he said to them, “Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves, for a friend of mine has arrived on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him’;
and he will answer from within, ‘Do not bother me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up and give you anything’?
I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his impudence he will rise and give him whatever he needs.
And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:5-13
