How blessed and beautiful in the Lord’s sight, is the one who does His will. How lovely is the heart of the one who purifies and cleanses themselves before Him? How appealing in His eyes is the one who seeks to listen, follow, and obey all He commands.
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law, he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Isaiah 52:7
How very blessed you will be when you walk in the ways of righteousness and not in the ways of the wicked. It is not about money or the things of this world. It is not about accolades from man or the adorning of throngs to your feet.
These are not the blessings of God. But they are what the devil uses to deceive the people of this world into thinking they have arrived. Because of fame, they have the favor of God. The work of the devil is to lie and deceive people into believing in counterfeit blessings, fake beauty, and false favor.
Beware of those who promote blessings of this world as being in the favor of God. Though He does shower good things on His people according to His will. Merely having things is not evidence of being blessed and beautiful in His sight. Beware of such people in the church who are all about the wealth of this world yet claim to be of God. Stay far away from them. Do not follow their ways. Because their god is themselves.
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
It is the change of the heart, the renewing of the mind, and the purifying of the soul that are true blessings from God. To be transformed into the image of God. To know and understand what true beauty and blessing are all about. It is not what is on the outside that makes one beautiful or even wealthy, but the goodness and purity of the heart.
This is the true work of God and of the Holy Spirit within the soul of man. Even common sense tells us who is more beautiful. It is not the woman who is gorgeous on the outside but is nasty to everyone around her, spewing out hate and curses. She is not beautiful, but very ugly indeed. It is the woman who is warm, loving, kind, gentle, compassionate, good, forgiving, and fears the Lord who is truly beautiful. Everyone enjoys someone who is truly kind to them.
“Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Proverbs 31:29-30
Wisdom, insight, and living in the fear of the Lord. These are what make you blessed and beautiful. Seek the Lord, listen to His instruction, follow His commands, receive His correction, walk in His Spirit, and allow Him to transform you from the inside out. That you will also be truly blessed and beautiful.
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.
Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed. Proverbs 3:13-18
