You Are Precious In His Sight

I was in the DMV the other day, and I remember a lady standing at the window next to me saying to the clerk, “I am sorry, my hair is a mess; I look horrible today.” I looked over at her and saw her hair looked nice; she was well-dressed and very pretty. Later on, I understood in my spirit what this meant. Many times, what you feel is not what is real. Feelings are often symptoms of something else going on deeper in your soul.

You see, God created you in His image to be a spiritual being first and foremost. Your feelings, emotions, and inner thoughts come from your spirit and are affected by past experiences, pains, or wounds you may have endured. They can have a powerful and overwhelming effect on how you perceive yourself. In this way, you may think your outward appearance is appalling, while others see you in a completely different light.

This woman looked good in appearance to those looking at her, but she felt the opposite was true in her heart. This contradiction may have been coming from what she believed to be true and not necessarily what was true.

This is why you can feel like the weight of the world is pressing you into the cracks of the floor at one moment, and something can change, and you feel like you are on top of the world. Spiritual forces have this kind of effect on us because we are spiritual beings. It could be your spirit that cannot see yourself accurately because of past trauma or evil spirits whispering lies that you believe. Whichever the case, God made you perfect in His sight; you are valuable and precious in His eyes. Believe Him.

I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me and hear my speech. Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You From those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings, Psalm 17:6-8

The Lord and His angels bring with them a comforting, strengthening, a joyous spirit that can make all the pain seem to disappear. But the devil and his demons bring the opposite. They desire nothing more than to lie, kill, steal, and destroy your joy and hope in this life. They bring spirits of heaviness, stress, discouragement, depression, and even suicide. They will attack and jab at those old wounds trying to make you believe in their lies.

But do not listen to them. Instead, turn to Jesus for your healing. He waits with open arms to receive you, loves you, and heal you of those past pains through the cleansing of His blood, forgiveness, and repentance.

When you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see, a lie calls a precious jewel worthless. It is a lie that calls a beautiful rose a weed. There is no truth in those feelings. God made you perfect, beautiful in your skin, and precious in His sight. No matter what you have gone through or how many years have passed. You are just as He intended you to be. Beautiful and radiant in His sight. You do not have to try to fix what He has made because He made you unique and wonderful, just the way you are.

“For the LORD sees not as man sees man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

I am here to let you know there is hope in Jesus Christ to be free from feelings of worthlessness. There is a release from feeling that you are not good enough in Jesus Christ. There is healing from the torture the evil one has inflicted upon your heart and the wounds he has inflicted.

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:13-14

Seek the Lord with all your heart to see if your feelings are real or if it is a symptom of a more profound pain, a lie of the devil. God sees you in truth and will always show you how beautiful you really are if you believe what He tells you. He always makes the right decisions when He crafts His children in the womb.

You are precious in His sight, no matter which road you have taken. You are valuable to Him, precious, and worthy to be reborn, refined, and crafted into His masterpiece. Jesus is the door to healing. He is the shepherd who will guide you into what is true about yourself and give you understanding and strength to overcome the lies of the devil.

Jesus said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” John 10:9-11

You may not see the inner luster of a gold lump until the goldsmith melts it into jewelry. You may not know the brilliance of a diamond until it has had facets delicately cut in place. But by the hand of Jesus Christ, the Master. He will refine you as pure gold and reveal the radiance of a diamond that, when set in its place, will shine like the Son.

But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, And I have loved you;

Therefore, I will give men for you, And people for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east and gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth— Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Isaiah 43:1-7
