This is for whoever the Lord is speaking to right now. Your faith was once small, you were once weak, and you were once pulled this way and that. But now you are strong, for the Lord has turned your weakness into His strength. He made your faith secure, firm, and grounded on the Rock, who is Jesus Christ our Lord. He is the firm foundation that will plant your feet securely by faith. He is the one who will never allow you to be moved.
But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19
The struggle has been real and it has been long and difficult. You had to sacrifice so very much for the sake of Jesus your King. You will not lose anything that He has in store for you nor have you gone astray. But you are on His road, the road to glory. Though there may have been things of this world you have lost. You will gain one hundred times that in eternity. In fact, you did not lose at all. You won.
He has been with you this whole time. He has been close to your side, counseling, instructing, and directing your every step. He was your constant support through every storm and every valley. What a reward you have earned by your faithful endurance.
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
He is the One who has equipped you. His armor has been your bulwark, your defensive wall. Upon His Word, you stand and will defeat the works of the enemy in Jesus’ name. His Spirit, power, and authority are with you and after the struggle is through you will rise stronger than before.
For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. Proverbs 24:16
Don’t forget where your confidence lies. “You have need of endurance.” He will give you all the help you are in need of, but until that time, stand strong do not shrink back, and do not worry or fear. The Lord is in complete control and will establish everything according to His perfect will and plan. Stand strong, the Lord is with you always and will continue to carry you through to the end.
But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one.
Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay; but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. Hebrews 10:32-39
