Endure to the end, do not give up, and do not give in. Don’t ever let the words of the doubter or hater bring you down. Don’t give in to them for a second. Trust in the power of the Lord. He holds His people and carries them through. Don’t listen to the wicked deception of the devil or anyone that says you are worthless or wasting your time. It is nothing but lies.
Don’t doubt yourself and the path the Lord put you on. He does not make mistakes, and He will never lead you astray. So although you may not know where you are going, be assured He does, and He will bring you through to the end. What you need is endurance, not a hindrance. So shake off any doubt and follow the Lord.
For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what is promised. For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay;” Hebrews 10:36-37
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, also had to endure and struggle until the end of His path. Can you imagine being God and man simultaneously, perfect and affected by the human condition? But it was different, knowing all that lay before Him, every suffering and mocking, yet He did not falter. He did not fail or turn away. He knew about every sin and every temptation. Yet, He remained faultless to the end. He did it all for you. Though He will never have to, I know He would do it again, if only for you.
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11
It is a good thing you don’t know what lies ahead. So that you may rest secure in God’s strong and able arms, trust that He has everything under control. Because if you knew what hardships, struggles, and pains were to come. If you knew every detail, would you go through with it? By some chance, might you turn away or try to avoid the pain of following that frightful path?
But praise God Almighty that you do not know the future, and there is nothing to fear, for the Lord is with you. Your future is secure, and your path is straight and true. Because His caring hands have made it so, nothing can change what He has declared, nothing catches Him by surprise, and nothing can overthrow His perfect plan.
“Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done,
saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.” Isaiah 46:8-11
Think about the great Saints of the past, those who came before you. They focused only on God, seeking to do everything they could to follow and obey Him. So many endured even mocking, suffering, and death. Jesus and the great cloud of witnesses are your examples. They finished their race to the glory of God, and I know you will too.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder, and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
