Are you following the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ or are you following and practicing the ways of the religious, the modern church, and the doctrines taught by man?
If you follow the ways of man, you are in fact following the blind.
39 He also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? Luke 6:39
Do not listen to the teachings of the religious and self rightous. Who break the laws of the Lord for the sake of their own ideas and traditions.
3 Jesus answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’
5 But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to God,” 6 he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God.
(This is only one example)
7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said:
8 “‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
9 in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Matthew 15:3-9
Be very careful that you are not following those who are blind. They will lead you down a disastrous road.
Only God and His Holy Spirit can lead you down the narrow path to righteousness. The road that leads to life. Down the road He has designed specifically for you.
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:6-7
If you have not realized this yet, we are in the last days, the days when there is a famine upon the land. Not a famine of food and drink. But a famine of hearing and understanding God’s word. A severe famine of walking in the Spirit of the Lord.
11 “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD,
“when I will send a famine on the land—
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the LORD.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
and from north to east;
they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD,
but they shall not find it. Amos 8:11-12
There is a lack of walking by the Spirit of the Lord, yet there is no end of the multitude of religions teachers.
There is no end of preachers declaring the Word of the Lord. Of pretending to know what they are talking about. There is no end of those walking by their own spirit and their own understanding instead of the true Spirit of the Lord.
Beware of them! Keep watch for their ways and words. They will be self evident by their fruits. Test every spirit that claims to speak truth.
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.
18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. Matthew 7:15-20
This is why the Lord says, “Seek the Lord God with all your heart soul mind and strength.”
Cry out to Him that He may give you ears that hear, eyes that see, a mind that understands, and a heart that turns and repents of sin.
The LORD is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. 2 Chronicles 15:2
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the LORD, Jeremiah 29:12-14
6 “Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call upon Him while He is near;
7 let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
If you seek Jesus with all your heart, all your mind, and all you strength you will find Him.
You will know Him and you will not be lead astray, falling into the pit that the blind will eventually fall into themselves.
