The Marvel Of God’s Wisdom

The Word of God says many things about how great it is to have wisdom. For example, wisdom is better than gold, silver, rubies, precious jewels, strength, and weapons of war. How much better will it be for you to ask and seek God’s wisdom rather than all the world’s things, riches, or power?

Even if you have little knowledge and strength, the wisdom God gives will prove to be more profitable, in the end, than all the rest. Seek God’s wisdom and use it. He will transform your life, keep you from falling into all the foolish traps of this world, and help you avoid the harmful pitfalls the Devil has set for you. By following the ways of the Lord, He will direct your steps in the right way to go.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8

Through God’s wisdom, you can see what others can not. Those things that pulled you down in the past, those same tricks and schemes of the Devil, and lies that used to have such a significant effect on you will no more. Don’t worry if men neglect to notice you. Don’t give them a second, though, but give acknowledgment to the Lord who sees into the heart and rewards the righteous.

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, Proverbs 2:1-7

You may believe you are right in what you do or think, but the Lord searches your heart and mind to reveal the truth. Seek what is best; the approval of the Lord. If you are proud and arrogant, it will be your downfall. But if you desire to do God’s will. He will give you the wisdom to walk safely through every situation according to His will. It will not be easy, but ultimately, you will be honored by the Lord, and the foolish will be seen for who they are. Redemption will be your portion when you walk in the wisdom of the Lord.

By wisdom, a house is built, and by understanding, it is established; by knowledge, the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, for by wise guidance, you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors, there is victory. Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the gate, he does not open his mouth. Proverbs 24:3-7
