To Be Found In The Right

Many times you may think of yourself in perfect light. Thinking very highly of yourself and not so much of others. It’s the truth. All of us tend to think of ourselves as right and others wrong, only to find out later we were wrong? It is a very hard thing to realize and admit it to God. Let alone admit openly. It’s the nature of mankind.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the heart. Proverbs 21:2

The Lord knows what is good and right. He knows the imperfections and flaws that everyone is blinded by. After all, He endured each and every kind of temptation, yet walked in perfection. No one else in human history can claim that.

The work of the devil is what causes moral, social, and personal blindness. It is him that one must be wary and fight against.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, 1 Peter 5:8-9

Those who follow the ways of the Lord will walk in humility and the integrity of the Lord, as Job did. They know who the real enemy is and will not be shaken. They will seek God’s wisdom and the insight of His Spirit. Not giving in to the temptations and schemes of the evil one or of evil men for that matter.

Remember, everything that happens is in the Lord’s hands. It all has a purpose, even the pain, trials, and sufferings. These are especially useful and productive in the development of a follower of Jesus Christ.

To be blunt, You can not grow in God’s wisdom without them!

Trials and tribulations are painful. Yet, if it was not His will, it would not have happened. Neither will anything happen that is outside of His command. Everything is in His control. Each one has its purpose.

The heavens are Yours; the earth also is Yours; the world and all that is in it, You have founded them. Psalm 89:11

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6-7

Compared to the Lord our God we indeed are very small and insignificant, very flawed and fragile, tending toward wrong. Yet, He cares even for the smallest of small. The least in the world as much as the greatest. There is no one He does not want to repent and turn away from their sins. No one He does not long to pour out good upon if they would just turn away from evil.

If you turn from sin and put your faith in Him and live righteously as the Lord commands, if you follow and obey His leading, you will be indeed highly favored. His light will shine upon you. But it takes time. It takes effort and sacrifice. His timetable is much different than you would like. But His way is best.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9

Just think of how God rewarded Job because of his righteousness and integrity even though he went through the worst of trials. Job resisted all of the temptations the devil brought against him. He was tempted to curse God and follow the ways of his friends. Yet He stood in his integrity, the integrity of God.

God is surely very good. He sees the inward thoughts and deeds of the heart, what is true. He honors those who honor Him and rewards those who earn such rewards.

Do what is right and examine your own heart and everything you do. Do not be afraid to admit when you are wrong. The best of mankind walk in the way of wisdom and integrity of the Lord. This means admitting wrong and repenting of sin. God thinks highly of those who do so.

Then thank Him and worship Him in all of the glory, honor, and praise that He deserves, especially in the hardest of times. For He rules and reigns over all things. His purposes and plans are perfect.

Give your life over to Him completely, no matter what happens, good or bad. And let His ways be your ways, saying in everything, “May the Lord’s will be done!” He blesses the truly humble and those who sacrifice everything for His name’s sake.

Read the last 5 chapters of the Book of Job and see how awesome He is. Here is a little taste.

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said: “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me.

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? “Or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb, when I made clouds its garment and thick darkness its swaddling band, and prescribed limits for it and set bars and doors, and said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed’? Job 38:1-11

After the LORD had spoken these words to Job,(Chap. 38-41) the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. Job 42:7

See how through wisdom, righteousness, and integrity Job was found to be in the right because he walked in the pure ways of the Lord. He was found to be 100% on God’s side and was rewarded for it.

Do you want to be found to be in the right, instead of the wrong? This is how it is done. Through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Have faith in Him. He is the bright and morning star. The Author and Perfecter of your faith. The Great I AM. The Rock of Ages. The King of kings and Lord of lords. The Almighty God. The faithful and true. Put your complete faith in Him and He will give you the purity of heart and integrity to be found in the right.
