The Master Player

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice!” For the Lord God is seated upon His throne. He is above all things and He overlooks every aspect of your life. He has everything already worked out and planned. For Him, it is already completed. He is like a genius master chess player who sees the last winning move before the first move is played.

Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it. Isaiah 46:8-11

Every attack of the devil is known to Him. Every scheme of man is foiled. Every lie, plan, strategy, maneuver, and conspiracy is thwarted by His hand. He is a million steps ahead of each wicked device. He knows every step and every move the devil will make.

O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Psalm 139:1-6

You can be confident in Him though the flaming arrows coming soaring in. Though the fight gets fierce, the storm and winds rage on, and the battle seems to be going wrong. The Lord knows it would happen and He will turn the tide against them for your good and His glory. He will flank them on all sides, for their fate has been sealed.

Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace. But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed; the future of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 37:37-38

He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out. Psalm 94:23

Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin. How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors! Psalm 73:18-19

Rejoice in your God who is Awesome and Mighty. He is the ruler and leader. He is monumental and supreme. Nothing can escape His sight or understanding, though they hide in deep darkness, though they sneak and slink among dank dungeons, and conceal their plans from all mankind. Not one thing can be hidden for the Alpha and Omega who is the beginning and the end.

Rejoice and be very glad for the Lord God Almighty reigns! He is intimately involved in every second of your life and will not leave you or forsake you, but works everything out according to his pre-orchestrated plan.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:4-9
