The Marvelous Love of God

If you did not know God’s love for you is so incredibly deep. It is marvelous, and the extent He has gone to be merciful to you is out of this world. He is so wondrously patient with you. His ways are so high above what you could imagine, and His grace is amazing. All His ways transcend all the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of mankind. They are far above anything you could have attained on your own.

What a great and wondrous love the Father has for His children that He would send His only Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die for your sins. He did this even while you were still His enemy and a wretched sinner. He looked down upon you and loved you.

How deep the Father’s love is for you. It is beyond measure. He gave His only Son, allowing you to have your sins forgiven and make you His treasure. What great pain He endured as the Father turned away. What wounds He accepted to give you salvation and what wrath He took to pay for your redemption. Do you understand the sacrifice He made for you?

For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, Ephesians 3:14-16

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1

Keep in mind your tests and trials are for your growth. To stimulate your faith and trust in Him. He does this so you may be fully grounded and rooted in His love. That you may be made mature in the Spirit of the Lord. He allows it all because of His marvelous love for you, for your good.

He is in control, with all things firmly placed in His hands. His wisdom has planned everything, and every detail is meticulously drawn out. There is nothing that has escaped His sight. Isn’t He wonderful? Isn’t He marvelous? Turn to Him if you have not.

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

Oh, how you may long to be in His presence to see His countenance’s full brilliance and bask in the light of His glory. What a day that will be. What a wonderful moment when the pains and hardships of this world melt away into eternal forgetfulness. It will be the ultimate culmination of His love and promise. So seek Him with all your heart; in the end, everlasting life with Him will be your destination.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4

When that day comes, we will bow before His majestic presence, worshiping, glorifying, praising, and honoring Him forever. Our hearts will be overflowing with joy and gladness. The whole host of Heaven will shout with songs of praise to our Lord God forever. Just thinking of it gives me chills and a tear in my eye. What a wonderful day that will be when we will be with Him in Glory.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen Ephesians 3:20-21
