The Marvelous Love of God

How deep is the marvelous love of God for you? How wide His excellent mercies? How long His wondrous patience? How high His amazing grace? They transcend all the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of mankind. They are far above anything you could have attained on your own.

What a great and awesome love the Father has for His children that He would send His only son to earth to die for your sins. While you were still His enemies and a wretched sinner. He looked down upon you and loved you.

“How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure.
That He should give His only Son, to make a wretch His treasure.

How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turns His face away.
As wounds which mar the Chosen One, bring many sons to glory.”
-Selah-

Reach out for this great love. Seek to know and comprehend it. Stir up a longing to live within its warm embrace. Desire to fully walk in the sunlight of His glorious love.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, Ephesians 3:14-16

The Lord will give you strength through His Spirit. He will give you the power and might to endure any trial. He shines upon you and warms your heart, mind, and soul with every breath. Wrapping His arms around you that you may be comforted and soothed from the weariness of this wicked world.

He is always with you in times of need. You are never left alone. You are His beloved child.

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1

Your tests and trials are for your growth. To stimulate your faith and trust in Him. He does this so that you may be fully grounded and rooted in His love. That you may fully know, understanding, and see what He is doing. It is because of His marvelous love for you that He allows them.

He has all things firmly placed in His hands. His wisdom has planned everything out, every detail is meticulously drawn out, there is nothing that has escaped His sight.

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

Oh, how you long to be in His presence, to see the full brilliance of His countenance, to bask in the light of His glory. What a day that will be. What a wonderful moment when the pains and hardships of this world melt away into eternal forgetfulness. This will be the ultimate culmination of His love.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4

You will bow before His majestic presence worshiping, glorifying, praising, and honoring Him forevermore.

The whole host of Heaven will shout with songs of praise to your Lord and God forever!

Just thinking of it gives me chills and a tear to my eye. What a wonderful day that will be!

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen Ephesians 3:20-21
