His Law On Our Hearts

Do you know that God has placed His Law upon your heart? Yes, long ago God gave us His Law the Ten Commandments. God has put the Ten Commandments upon your heart so you would know the difference between right and wrong. But the question I have for you is; have you broken God’s Law? Do you know what God’s Laws are?

Here are a few of them, you may recognize them as I name them. Have you ever lied? Saying something that is not true in any form is lying. God has commanded that “You Shall Not Lie!”

Have you ever stolen anything? If you have taken anything that was not yours, that is stealing. It doesn’t matter if it was of great value or very small. God has commanded, “You Shall Not Steal!”

Have you ever disobeyed your parents? No matter what the reason God Commands you to, “Honor your Father and Mother, that it will go well with you!” This is the only Law that comes with a promise that your life will be good and long upon this earth if you obey and honor your parents.

Do you always “love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength”? This is the first commandment God has given. He says that no one has obeyed this one.

“All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.” Romans 3:23 “As it is written: None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Romans 3:10-12

If you are honest with yourself, you will admit that you have broken God’s Law, His Ten Commandments. These are only 4 of His Commandments. Some day you will die, it is the one thing that is certain on this earth. On that day, you will have to stand before God and He will judge you by His Commandments. No one is able to keep them without breaking them. Therefore, you will be found guilty. Do you see that you will be in serious trouble on Judgment Day?

The Bible says “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment”. Hebrews 9:27 Also, Jesus said, “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned.” Matthew 26:36-37

You see God is a perfect Judge and since you have broken His Law, you are a criminal in His eyes. He will be forced to sentence you to Hell, His prison, a place of eternal punishment. It is a horrible place of suffering and torment. You will have to go there unless someone pays the fine, the punishment you deserve. This matter is deathly serious.

I do not want you to go there. What are you going to do? Who will save you from eternal punishment? I am here to tell you that there is GOOD NEWS. Jesus paid your fine.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. John 2:16-18

God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to the earth to live as a man and be tempted in every way that you can be tempted, and yet, He never sinned. He lived a perfect sinless life.

In the beginning, was the Word(Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5

Then He intentionally died on a cross of suffering and paid for all of your sins. He took upon Himself the entire Wrath of God that you deserve for sinning against a holy and righteous God. Because He is God and perfect. He willingly sacrificed Himself for you and overcame death and sin.

Now He can set you free from sin and death because of His sacrifice. Now He offers to you, the forgiveness of your sins. Isn’t that amazing? He offers you eternity in Heaven, freedom from the penalty and punishment you deserve in Hell.

And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

But you must cry out to Him for forgiveness. You must repent of your sins, which means turning your back on your sinful life and ways. You must follow and obey Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Completely giving your life to Him.

When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:17-19

I encourage you to do this today, right now. You don’t know when you will die. Humble yourself before God and repent of your sins. Turn your life over to serve God and obey everything He commands. I pray that God will send His Holy Spirit to change your heart and mind. Giving you new desires and a new mind to love good and hate evil.

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God. Ezekiel 36:26-28

What are you going to do with this new knowledge you have acquired today? Will you repent, trust, and obey Jesus by faith? Will you ignore it to your own demise? It is up to you to do what is right or what is wrong this day. So choose life, choose Jesus.
