Seek the wisdom that comes from above, not from a human understanding. For the natural understanding of a man will fail. But what comes from the Lord will guide you along the right path. It will give you such insight and discernment that it is beyond human comprehension. He will provide you with knowledge of things that you didn’t know that you knew.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, and equity, every good path; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; Proverbs 2:6-10
Follow the Word of the Lord and His insight. Seek His wisdom; it comes from the Spirit of the Lord. He will give you sharpness and understanding of the mind that you could have never obtained any other way.
Yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:3-5
Selfishness is at the root of the world’s wisdom. It only seeks to puff up and cause the one who has it to boast of their great knowledge and worldly wisdom. People do not care about others but use the world’s wisdom to acquire wealth and scheme to get things for themselves.
Though worldly wisdom may look good on the surface, in the heart, it is self-serving. They hatch wicked ideas on their beds and find ways to accomplish them. If you go down that road, there will be a wake of hurt and pain that will create much sorrow and suffering for all affected. In the end, it will catch up to you. So beware of following the worldly ways of wisdom; the Lord will punish people who only seek to serve themselves.
Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil on their beds! When the morning dawns, they perform it because it is in the power of their hand. They covet fields and seize them, and houses and take them away; they oppress a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.
Therefore thus says the Lord: behold, against this family I am devising disaster, from which you cannot remove your necks, and you shall not walk haughtily, for it will be a time of disaster. Micah 2:1-3
Godly wisdom may lead you down a rough and challenging road, painful and full of physical and emotional sorrows. But it will produce blessing through righteousness and a reward only God gives those who chose His path. You will reap the good things you have sown and grow in strength, understanding, insight, wisdom, and faith, which is much more beneficial than any worldly wisdom.
For the moment, all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11
So look for what is good. Search for God’s wisdom. Seek what is right and the true spiritual blessings that come from the Lord. Give yourself completely over to Him in all your ways. He will give you all you need and more. He has created you uniquely, just like He wanted you, and laid down a unique path for you. Will you take it?
Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct, let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
This is not the wisdom that comes down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:13-18
