That Hill Called Difficulty

I praise God for you, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I thank Him for all your work in His name so far. It is a great privilege to be called by the Lord, to be placed in the service of the King. He has given each of His servants a unique charge, a specific duty, and a different responsibility.

Be proud of what He has given you. Don’t look to others to find your value. You are very precious and priceless in His sight. But praise the Lord for the task He has given to you. He designed you, especially for this mantle that He has placed upon your shoulders. Focus on Him and His direction as you walk the path He has for you.

He is doing great work in the hearts and minds of His servants. Every step of the journey is essential and is a part of His plan. However, you may be climbing a difficult hill, scaling a sheer cliff, hanging onto a small handhold, or clawing your way up to the top. He is there with you all along the way. He will help you to the top.

He even gives you pleasant places for you to rest along the way. Such as on a grassy patch up high or on a lofty cliff to rest and wait for His nudge to continue to the top. The Lord is working, stretching, healing, and carrying you to the top of the hill called Difficulty. Which is along the path every Christian must traverse. You will make. He will make sure of that.

Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and His arm rules for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. Isaiah 40:9-10

I praise God because He will give you steadfast hope, love, faith, and joy, even in the face of hardship. Your faith will be tested and found to be pure. He will use you in great and mighty ways, according to His will. Someday He will reward all the work you have accomplished in His name, and He will continue to use you until your climbing days are over.

Isn’t it wonderful that He loves to take broken, bruised, and shattered vessels that man rejects? He loves to gather them to Himself healing and mending every broken piece, shaping them into beautiful and useful vessels for His glory and purpose. Then He fills them with His love, to be poured out on those all around. He desires to do this with your life.

Always remember, you are precious in His sight and of great value. Continue to give yourself entirely to His will, plan, and purpose. Then, when you reach the top of the hill called Difficulty, you will never look back and regret any of the sacrifices you dedicated to Him.

But you will glory and shout for joy for all He has done and all He has given you in return. The Lord will reward those who faithfully labor for Him. So follow Him and trust Him by faith; He will never fail you.

We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

For we know, brothers loved by God, that He has chosen you because our gospel came to you not only in word but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake

And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere so that we need not say anything.

For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10
