God calls all fellow workers in harvest fields for the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember who you are in the Lord and your mission as you reside on this earth. As Jesus described it in Matthew 13, you are like a sower of seed, walking the fields of mankind, sowing the good seed of His good news into the hearts of man. Most will not accept the Word of God. But for the blessed few who receive it and grow. God will transform them from what was once dead to a living, holy, and mighty tree for His kingdom and glory.
“Hear then the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.
As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”
Keep pressing forward to do the will of the Father. You will indeed be ignored by most, attacked as if evil, and ridiculed even by those in the church who believe you are in error or wasting your breath. Most will also not listen to your message of love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. The eternal gift of God through repentance only comes from the death, blood, resurrection, and power of Jesus Christ.
But the few that repent and turn to Jesus with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength will cause the hosts of Heaven to rejoice! God says the hosts of Heaven rejoice at just one sinner who repents.
Jesus said, “I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10
It is not about the numbers. It is all about one soul saved at a time. One precious child of God who will be transformed by the power and glory of Jesus Christ. One man or woman who will be spared from the horrors of an eternity in Hell. They will be given life everlasting to be shared with the hosts of Heaven in the presence of God for all eternity.
Think of it this way. Focus on saving one soul at a time. Work heartily for Jesus, your savior. However, you may not know which one God is convicting towards repentance. One by one, day by day, week by week, year by year, a multitude of souls may be saved by your faithfulness. Then each soul saved will turn and speak the Gospel to another and another, multiplying your harvest, filling Heaven with souls saved because of your faithful labor.
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Matthew 25:23
Keep reaching out to the lost. Do not give up speaking the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, even if they don’t seem to be listening. A single seed sown in a man’s heart may become firmly planted, watered, germinated, and grown into a mighty tree by the mighty hand of God. He knows those who are His and who He has purposed for greatness in His kingdom.
Nevertheless, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19
Of course, you know who hates your work for the Gospel, the Devil. If he could block your way to preaching the Gospel to the nations, he will try. So back up, pray in the Spirit of the Lord. Listen to His direction, rebuke him in Jesus’ name, and keep moving forward. God gives His servants His directions, wisdom, and power to foul up the Devil’s plans.
What he thought would destroy or hinder you will make you all the wiser to his schemes. They will embolden your resilience against his attacks and drive you forward to save many more the Devil thought were his. In the end, you win by the authority of Jesus Christ. The Devil has already lost the battle due to the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. So go and sow the seeds of the message of Jesus that you may reap a harvest in eternity.
And Jesus said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:18-19
Amen
