The time has come when good is called evil and evil good. There are so many in this world and in this day that is deceived. In their own hearts, they do wickedness, and yet claim to do good. But they are wholeheartedly against the Lord. Seek the Lord to give you discernment concerning this issue. They are completely convinced in their own minds that they do what is right. But the Lord will reveal the truth in the end, and everything both good and evil will be laid bare for all to see.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the heart. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:2-3 Thinking themselves wise they became fools. Romans 1:22
But do not be afraid of anyone or their lies. If you are serving the Lord with a pure heart, and truly seek to follow and honor the Lord with your every action, He is on your side. He will bring the truth to bear at the right time.
Continue doing good, even in the face of persecution. Those who accuse and revile you will receive their just reward for what they have earned in due time. They will not escape from the punishment the Lord has planned for them. He has always known they would turn away from His pure ways to serve themselves and the ways of wickedness.
Keep your ways pure and holy doing what is good. Do what is right and honorable before the Lord, with faithfulness, with a good and clean conscience. Be kind and respectful to all no matter what others say or do. No matter what happens to you. If you are doing what is right and good, pleasing the Lord in everything you do, you will be blessed. He blesses the righteous and punishes the wicked in the end. This is His promise.
You will be blessed if they listen to the Gospel and repent. Blessed if they join you in your good works. Blessed if they revile and curse you. Blessed if they persecute you and lie about you. Yes, you will be blessed in every situation. No matter what the Lord allows to befall you. If you obey Him, He will bless you and reward your faithfulness. So stand firm, stand strong, and hold fast to the all-knowing, all-powerful, eternal Lord God Almighty and continue to do His will.
Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Now, who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil. 1Peter 3:8-17
