The Lord God sees everything, from the beginning of time to the very end of all things. The Lord hears and He will listen to the humble and contrite of heart. He understands it all and foresees every event and every situation that you will ever face. Many times He allows great suffering and struggle, not only to teach you lessons but to cause you to grow. They are designed to break you from bad habits, false securities, and sinful behaviors you have been holding on to.
But do not be sorrowful, He is in control, and He will comfort your broken, weary, and hurting heart. He will help those who call on His name. Breaking and shattering what needs to be broken, and remolding and healing what needs to be remade. The Lord heals, restores, and saves. He is merciful, loving, kind, compassionate, gracious, and wise to rescue and redeem His people.
But now thus says the LORD, He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah 43:1-3
He will not let His servants wait forever, but just at the right moment, He will come. He will strengthen, heal, comfort, and confirm. Setting you up on the Rock, right where you belong. He was always there. He never left you. Neither did He forsake you in any way. Not even for a moment. But His perfect plan and purposes required the pain and suffering you endured.
What He allowed has formed you closer to His image. His discipline has made you pure and prepared for what lies ahead. Praise and glorify the Lord God Almighty for all the great and wonderful things He has done and what He will do for your future. Our God is good.
I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me. O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit. Sing praises to the Lord, O you His saints, and give thanks to His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, and His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.” By your favor, O Lord, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed. To you, O Lord, I cry, and to the Lord, I plead for mercy: “What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness? Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me! O Lord, be my helper!”
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever! Psalm 30
