The Lord knows the storm you are going through. He sees the pressure you are under and the strain upon your being. He knows about the trials that feel like raging seas and fierce winds. He knows the crushing you are enduring. He hears the cries of His children saying, “Oh, God, where are you, help me!”
But He allows these things to come and press you hard. He has allowed it and ordained it so for your refinement into His image, to mold you into His perfect vessel for His honorable purposes. He is changing your reflection to mirror His.
He is calling out to all who have small faith, to all who have doubts. To look straight ahead to their Savior and follow His lead. He is beaconing all who have not heard His message to follow and obey. He is shaking the earth so that many may wake up to be like Him in heart, word, and deed. He is opening eyes and ears to see and hear His Word. To hed what He instructs and to do His will. To pay attention to His Spirit doing His will to save souls.
Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isaiah 55:1
Jesus is saying, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Do not fear but be at rest in the Lord. He is the One who is in control. He will make all things new. He calls to those who are thirsty, He calls to those who are doubtful, He calls to the lonely and frightened, and He calls everyone to put their hopes in Him. No one will be left behind who seeks after Him with all their heart.
Wait for the Lord, trust Him, and put your complete faith in His plan. Hope in what He has promised and rest in His capable arms. Then, one day all mankind will see and know He is God and in complete control. There is nothing outside of His authority, nothing beyond His sight. Everything belongs to the Lord, and they will see Him rule over everything.
So focus only on the Lord and receive the hope and peace that only He can provide. He will draw you out of your place of doubt and despair and set you firmly upon His Rock. You will be secure, safe, and peaceful even amid the storm.
I waited patiently for the Lord; He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told. Psalm 40:1-5
