The Lord knows the storm you are going through, He sees the pressure you are under, and the strain that is upon your being. He knows about the raging seas, the tempestuous winds, and the crashing of the thunderous lightning. He hears the cries that are shouting, “Oh, God where are you!”
But He is neither in the storm or the wind or the thunderous noise all around. Yet, He has allowed it and has ordained it that all those who have not listened, obeyed, and heeded to His Word may wake up and listen.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says,”
He is calling out to all who are faithless, to all who doubt. He is beaconing all who have been ignoring His message, to all who look down. He is shaking the earth that many may wake up. Open your eyes and look up that you may see, open your ears and pay attention that you may hear what the Spirit of the Lord has been saying at this moment.
Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isaiah 55:1
Jesus is saying, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Do not fear but be at rest in the Lord. He is the One who is in control. He will make all things new. He calls to those who are thirsty, He calls to those who are doubtful, He calls to the lonely and frightened, and He calls everyone to put their hopes in Him.
Wait for the Lord, trust in the Lord, put your complete faith in His plan, hope in what He has promised, and rest in His capable arms. All mankind will see and know that He is God and He is in control. There is nothing out of control, nothing beyond His sight, and everything belongs to the Lords.
For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine. Psalm 50:10-11
Though the wicked and evil love to spin hopelessness, fear, and dread. Do not watch it. Do not listen to it. Don’t give it a second glance.
But focus only on the Lord and receive the hope and peace that only He can provide. He will draw you up out of your place of doubt and despair and set you firmly upon His Rock, you will be secure, safe, and at peace in His presence.
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. 4 Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!
5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.
