What Will You Choose

I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:10-11

You see, all mankind has “fallen short of the glory of God.” Which means they have not lived up to the perfect standard of God, The Law, and The Ten Commandments. All man has broken His Law and will be punished by what is written in that Law for all the crimes they have committed against a holy and perfect God. Unless someone else pays the price required for your sins, for redemption, you will have to pay for them yourself. Your destination will be Hell if you do not have someone to save you.

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty, I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:6-8

Everyone on earth has broken His Law. We have all been liars, thieves, covetous, lustful, hateful, blaspheming God’s name, cheaters, sensual, faithless, and just plain disobedient to God. The raw truth is that each of us has been building up either treasure in Heaven by obeying God or earning wrath, judgment, and punishment daily with each sin committed.

There is an account written in a book that God possesses, recording every sin, thought, deed, and motivation of your heart. You will give an account of yourself on that day when you stand before the Almighty God in judgment. There will be nothing hidden.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. 2 Corinthians 5:10

If you claim Christ, it is of the utmost importance that you step forward in faith and obedience to God. To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who don’t believe. How else will they know, and how will they believe, unless they hear that they are lawbreakers?

How can they receive the good news that Jesus Christ died to pay for their sins if no one tells them? Don’t be afraid that you may drive them away from God. Because they can not be any farther away from Him than they already are. For God says,

Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. John 3:18

The most loving thing you can do is to shake them out of their slumber. Wake them from the depths of their sleep. Like a blind man walking toward a cliff, if you have love, you would run, shout, and plead for him not to go further. But to turn away from his destructive path and run away from danger. The most destructive path is marching toward eternity without the Lord Jesus Christ.

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, Hebrews 9:27

The devil has quietly tricked people into believing he does not exist and that God, eternal judgment, and punishment do not exist either. Most believe there will be no consequences for their actions. But they are dead wrong. You must speak up, run after them, and plead for them not to go. You are called to gently and lovingly show them the truth of God’s Law with them, to show them that they are criminals in God’s eyes.

Once they see the gravity of their eternal destination, they may be ready to hear the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news of the Savior who died to take the punishment they deserve. Jesus came as fully God, and man lived a perfect life and sacrificed His life and blood on the cross of Calvary to pay for your sins. He was killed and buried. But on the third day, the power of God filled Him, for death has no authority over Him, and He arose from the dead, defeating sin and death.

He took the punishment, the wrath of God, that you deserve. So that you may not die eternally but live with Him and have the forgiveness of your sins. They will all be wiped away. God loves you so much that He did this for you. But you must confess your sins to Him and repent, which means turning away from your life of sin. You must turn and obey the Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him in everything you do. Then God will grant you everlasting life in Heaven, and no longer will your sentence be death.

Understand this: there are only two options for mankind. Either the Lord Jesus Christ will pay for the multitude of your sins and crimes against God, or you will have to pay for them yourself, for all eternity in Hell. I do not want you to go there.

So, what will you choose for those who believe in Jesus and those who do not? What happens to you is not up to anyone else. It is all up to your choice. You will be held responsible for every choice that you make. Please choose Jesus today. If you wait, it may be too late. You do not know the day or hour when you will die; this is the most important decision you could ever make.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because He has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

And this is the judgment: the light [Jesus] has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” John 3:16-21
